  • At only 46.3 lbs, the EU2000i utilizes Honda’s "state of the art" inverter technology to provide 2000 watts of lightweight, quiet and efficient power. This generator will run up to 15 hours on a single tank of gas when used with the Eco-Throttle feature. This easy starting generator produces only 59dB of sound at 7 meters with a full load, which is less than the rating of common speech. The Honda Inverter Technology makes this generator ideally suited for use with sensitive electronics (e.g., computer, fax, printer, and telephone, stereo) because the generator produces a clean sine wave of energy that prevents surging. To prevent any possible damage to the unit, the Oil Alert will shut the unit off when the oil drops below a safe operating level. The unit also has a DC terminal for use when charging 12-volt automotive type batteries.

  • Eco Throttle™ Honda's EcoThrottle system is standard on the EU1000i, EU2000i, EU3000iS and EU6500iS generators. This system incorporates a load-dependent speed control-type governor that offers excellent fuel economy by automatically adjusting engine speed to the optimum level, given the usage load. This helps to reduce fuel consumption and operating noise in the normal usage range, as well as exhaust emissions levels.

  • Honda Inverter Technology Honda's inverter technology means stable, clean power in a smaller, lighter package. By taking the raw power produced by the generator and passing it through a special microprocessor, Honda generators are able to produce a sine wave equal to or better than your household power. This means you can even operate the most sensitive electronics without fear of interruption.

  • Parallel Operation Capability Two identical EU series generators can be linked in parallel to increase available wattage through the generator outlets.

  • Oil Alert® Warning System All Honda generator engines are equipped with a safety system that shuts the engine down if oil reaches an unsafe operating level. This helps prevent engine damage from overheating due to lack of oil.

  • USDA-Qualified Spark Arrestor/Muffler All Honda generators are equipped with United States Department of Agriculture qualified spark arrestors to help prevent fires.

Can't beat it! July 9, 2011

I used one of these during the hurricane outbreak of 2004 in central FL. It ran my RV  A/C unit (I'm thinking it was 13,500 BTU. The RV was a Thor Tahoe 18TB TT Lite Transport) for 4 hours on 1 gallon of gas and ran for 14 hours on 1 gallon when only connected to the RV without other AC items turned on. Of note, it caused the A/C unit to strain a small bit at start up but it worked and didn't cutoff. It's also VERY quite. These are amazing generators and 2 can be hooked together for twice the power.
